Spring Fun at Lakeside

Spring is in full bloom, and Lakeside is buzzing with excitement about our upcoming activities and events. That's right; the Bears are awake and ready to explore! We've got in-class experiments, field trips and more!

Caterpillars Growing into Butterflies

In our classrooms, students get a firsthand look at the wonders of nature. They'll watch caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies-- a magical experience to see these creatures evolve and take flight.

Field Trips Galore!

Our K-2 students recently visited the Schiele Museum to learn about science, history and the world. Soon, they'll also be taking trips to Old Salem and Dan Nicholas Park to explore and learn about the past.

Reading = Escape Room

But spring isn't just about trips and excursions at Lakeside. As a tuition-free public charter, it's also about fostering a love of reading and literacy. Our students recently participated in a read-a-thon, and our 3rd and 6th graders won in their respective levels. They'll head out to the park and an escape room with our beloved Dr. Montague to celebrate their achievements.

Knights Education Day

Speaking of the park, we invited students and families to join us for Knights Education Day on April 26th. This family event was open to all grades, and was a day filled with fun and learning.
